Woian joined J.D. Silva & Associates as an associate attorney in 2024. He graduated from the Jesse H. Jones School of Business at Texas Southern University, graduating magna cum laude and receiving his bachelor’s degree in accounting in 2019. He went on to attend the Thurgood Marshall School of Law and graduated with his law degree in 2023. While a law student, Woian was already hard at work preparing his future attorney, both through his academic engagement, and his extracurricular activities.
During his tenure at the Thurgood Marshall School of Law, he was a proud member of the Black Law Students Association, building connections and seeking to grow through collaboration with his peers. Woian also spent time as an intern for the Harris County District Attorney’s Office. This experience helped him gain a better understanding of criminal procedure while also providing him the opportunity to hone his legal research skills. He found the experience to be incredibly valuable to his development into the attorney that he is today, but he particularly enjoyed the ability to observe trials, and spent much of his time doing so.
But Woian didn’t only focus his attention on criminal law. He also interned for a bankruptcy firm where he learned about both personal and business bankruptcy. His experience focused on chapter eleven bankruptcy for businesses, and chapter seven and eleven bankruptcy for individuals.
These experiences have left him well equipped for his career at J.D. Silva & Associates, and he is excited for the opportunity to utilize his skills and capacity for hard work to achieve the best possible outcomes for his clients.
